The ledger is the truth teller.
These terms cover your use of truupr.com and the Truupr portal. Each task also has its own agreement, signed in the task room. Where the two overlap on a specific task, the task agreement controls.

1. What Truupr is
Truupr is software that introduces licensed businesses ("taskrs") to certified professionals ("truuprs") for a day's work, and keeps a shared record of each shift. Truupr does not employ truuprs, does not supervise or direct how the work is done, and does not provide tools, insurance, workers' compensation or benefits.
2. Accounts and credentials
- The information you give us must be true and current. The credential at the door is what qualifies you: no credential, no entry.
- Taskrs must hold the business licence their tasks require. Truuprs must hold any credential a task requires, such as a state-issued worker permit, a trade licence or a safety card, and do the work themselves.
- Some areas of the platform stay closed until your credentials are verified. Keep your portal link private, because it opens your account.
3. Independent contractors
A truupr is an independent contractor. A truupr is not an employee, agent, joint venturer or partner of Truupr, of any taskr, or of any other user. Truuprs choose which days and tasks to accept. Each party handles its own taxes, permits, licences and insurance. Every truupr and taskr also signs an annual contractor agreement in the portal.
4. Tasks, pay and records
- The posted task is the whole deal. The type of work, date, start time, hours, rate and site packet make up the agreement for that task. If a taskr changes the terms after booking, the truupr can accept the new terms or decline with no penalty.
- Pay is direct. The taskr pays the truupr for the hours signed off, figured to the minute at the posted rate. Truupr doesn't hold, guarantee or insure payments. The amount owed stays visible to both sides until both confirm it was paid.
- Records. Clock-ins, clock-outs, location at clock-in and clock-out, hours, ratings, badges and thread messages are recorded and visible to both parties and to Truupr. Corrections are recorded on the ledger, not made silently. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Safety and conduct
- Taskrs provide a safe, lawful worksite. A truupr may refuse unsafe work.
- Keep communication in the task thread respectful. No harassment, discrimination, fraud or false ratings.
- Don't use Truupr for anything illegal, don't misuse other members' information, and don't try to get around the platform's security.
- We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Records of what happened stay on the ledger.
6. Cancellations and early walk-offs
Either side can cancel before clock-in under the cancellation rules shown in the portal. Late cancels and early walk-offs go on the record. An early finish the taskr approves leaves no mark.
7. Fees and the beta
During the beta, Truupr is free for truuprs and there are no fees on beta tasks. If funded tasks or business fees are introduced, we'll post the terms in the portal before they apply. For early members, the rate will always be the most competitive on the platform.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Truupr is provided "as is" during the beta. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any task, member or payment will turn out as expected. To the fullest extent the law allows, Truupr is not liable for the acts of members, for work performed or not performed, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Truupr in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top and tell members in the portal before a significant change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Questions: hueywiththefire@gmail.com · Truupr, Southern Oregon.
